When I'm past life,
I want new life for the balance.
I want a celebration of life,
Of how you still have it.
Remembering is good.
But crying? That's really bad.
Just remember that,
Everyone has to die.
A celebration of life would be a wondrous sight,
For it would include all that it could,
Church is too formal,
Family is too small.
All my friends, all my family,
The doors should not close.
do not deny those who want to celebrate with you.
Life is not a private function.
I believe that the open sea holds the most life within,
For it's seeping contents can give life to every creature.
To be buried besides this great fountain of life,
Would be a great honour indeed.
And when you visit me,
For i hope you will,
I want festivities for all to see,
That include everyone and everything.
In the open air,
By the open sea,
Because, you see,
We all share in the eventuality of death.
But bring out your candles!
In the middle of the night!
Light a huge bonfire!
I need lots of light!
Darkness obliterates,
Darkness smothers,
Don't let the darkness triumph,
Keep my memory alight.
